About The Great St Albans Challenge

The Great St Albans Challenge is a unique community-focused and charitable event founded and established by local businessman Peter Barker - Founder of Community Challenge Events.

Supported by a team of 'local business legends' (see below!), the event aims to provide local people with a fun opportunity to enjoy a social event exploring St Albans, whilst raising funds for a vital local charity too.

As a local resident, Peter has spearheaded and established a number of local community initiatives including the Herts Business Growth Show and The Harpenden Guide Community App.

Along with the Mission Control team and staff at Wildgoose, the team will be working hard to deliver a fabulous event that gives local people a great day out whilst helping raise vital funds to support the important work of Youth Talk.

The event will be supporting Youth Talk, a pioneering local community charity providing free, confidential counselling to 13-25 year olds in St Albans and surrounding areas.

For young people, sometimes life can feel completely overwhelming. Without someone to talk to, it can feel impossible to cope.

Youth Talk's counselling services are delivered by experienced professionals without judgement. It has an excellent track record of providing support locally for young people who use our service.

The charity has been supporting local young people for over 20 years, and the need has never been greater.
